The previous Guinness world record for the Most cocktails made in an hour (Fastest Bartender) was set by Chris Raph, 31, the bar manager at The Shout House Dueling Pianos bar, who poured 662 cocktails in one hour.
According to Guinness World Records, the world record for the Most cocktails made in one hour (Team) is 1,541, achieved by 42BELOW (New Zealand) and the US Bartenders' Guild (USA) at the ACE Hotel in New York, New York, USA.
Guinness World Records also recognized the Fastest time to tend bar in all 50 US states - set by California native Pat Winning (b.1949), who tended at a bar in all 50 US states in 285 days.
The Guinness World Records rules were reportedly rather strict. Each cocktail was required to have a minimum of four ingredients, no cocktail could be repeated, and each had to be prepared individually. The event was co-sponsored by 360 Vodka, an organic and eco-friendly vodka out of Missouri.
"It feels amazing to be number one in the world and it was an absolute honor to have performed such a life changing task in an iconic, breathtaking venue as is The Empire Room at the Empire State Building," says Wiley.
