Longest bicycle wheelie - world record set

LEEDS, UK -- Aaron
Stannage, from Barnsley, South Yorkshire, cycled for
more than eight miles (13km) on one wheel at the John Charles
Stadium , setting the world record for the Longest
bicycle wheelie.

by listening to Linkin Park and the Prodigy while circling
the track. "I nearly lost it a couple of times but I just
put it behind me and carried on," Aaron said after his wheelie

Stannage cycled for one hour to complete the world's
Longest
bicycle wheelie in Leeds.
Aaron, who is the son of a stuntman, said
he felt "cool" to have set the world record for the Longest
bicycle wheelie.
During his record attempt, Aaron circled
an indoor racing track more than 90 times while listening
to his iPod to pass the time.
Aaron's father, Mark
Stannage, said he was "chuffed to death" with his
son's efforts.
"That's going to take some beating by anybody,"
he said. Family and friends watched Aaron as he completed
more than 90 laps of a track at the John Charles Stadium.
Aaron, who started his professional stunt
career at the age of three, has already featured in a number
of TV shows and has a range of skills including karate, scuba
diving, trampoline, horse riding and motocross.
Aaron Stannage is a rider with "The Stannage
International Stunt Team". He has travelled extensively through
out the United Kingdom performing to audiences of thousands.
His work has also taken him throughout Europe
ie: France, Belgium, Holland and Germany, where he has performed
many of his stunts.
