Most People Crammed Into A Smart Car: Female students set world record
KARACHI, Pakistan -- Nineteen students from Karachi Grammar and other schools, led by Aymen Saleem Yousuf, squeezed into a standard smart car - setting the new world record for Most People crammed Into a Smart Car. "I want parents around the country to encourage their children to achieve greater things and believe that when you try, you achieve," said Aymen.
The world record attempt took place at DHA Creek Club in front of a Jury in the presence of Speaker Sindh Assembly Nisar Ahmed Khuhro who was the chief guest on the occasion.
The jury was comprising of Nisar Khuhro, Adviser to Prime Minister Dr Mirza Ikhtiar Baig, Adviser to Sindh CM on Information Sharmila Farooqi, former cricket captain Waseem Akram, former hockey captain and olympian Islahuddin and Hon Consul General of Morocco Ishtiaq Baig.
The previous Guinness world record for Most people crammed into a smart car was set by the Climb Fit Team of Australia when 18 students compressed into a standard smart car at the Warringah Mall, Sydney Australia.
The girls had been through the drill numerous times. They positioned themselves and with precision crammed one by one into the two-door car in layers. Within a minute they were all inside the car and not only did they manage to break the world record, they managed to stay in the car for a gruelling 10 seconds, double the current record time.
The participants included Sarah Ahmad, Hafsa Naveed, Alina Akram (the extra in case someone got injured), Zashanne Malik, Fatima Ismail, Rabbya Kamran, Anam Afridi, Muneezeh Jamal, Hala Faruqi, Dania Fayyaz, Sana Ghazi, Sana Currimbhoy, Zoya Currimbhoy, Hiba Javad, Sana Javad, Nadia Khan, Neha Salauddin, Rida Ashraf, Eman Samir, Tanya Pabani and Aymen Saleem.
The team coaches were Hassan Aslam, Sharam Saleem and Shereen Saleem.
Guinness World Records also recognized the Most surfboards stacked on a car: a group of surfers (USA) successfully stacked a total of 282 surfboards on top of a car and drove 30.4 m (100 ft ) near Santa Barbara, California, USA.
Guinness World Records also has the world record for most consecutive donuts (spins) in a car while standing on the roof of the car is 10 achieved by Terry Grant (UK) in Santa Pod Raceway, Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, UK
