Largest porcelain jar-world record set
by Xu Sijin
JINGDEZHEN, Jiangxi Province, China-- Porcelain artisan
master Xu Sijin created a colossal crock of black and
white porcelain, which stands at 1.36 meters in height, measures
6.8 meters in perimeter, with a caliber of 2 meters and a
total weight of over 1,500 kg -setting the world record for
the Largest
porcelain jar.
It took local porcelain artisan master
Xu Sijin more than a year to finish the facture and a group
of painters to accomplish the pattern of the Yangtze River
Three Gorges on the profile. (enlarge

The Largest
porcelain jar has been included into the 2010 edition
of the Book of World Records edited by the World Record Academy.
